Punxsutawney Phil not only saw his shadow (which means six more weeks of winter) but he bit the Mayor.
Conclusion: 2009 is going to bite!

I the interest of fairness I would like to mention Marion, Ohio is the hometown of Buckeye Chuck the state’s official ground hog prognosticator of spring. His prediction was more winter. Chuck is not a personal friend but I feel certain his predictions are as accurate as Phil’s. Chuck is sort of the blue collar Ground Hog. He does not bite his handler, he’s a little smaller than Phil and we eat Spam sandwiches while waiting for Chuck to clear his head and eyes.

Glenn,
Now that’s what America is all about. I hope we never lose those traditions. Funny, they were serving SPAM sandwiches at COSTCO last week-end. That’s when you know we’re in a recession……LOL!
Cheers!

Clearly groundhog bites are less dramatic than chimpanzee bites…who knew?
Let’s look at it this way…2009 can’t bite more than 2008. Can it? (if the answer is no, don’t tell me).
