There, I said it. According to the urban dictionary balls = courage or bravery.
I logged on to my credit union website tonight (to check my balance) and there it was. Right on the home page. Loud and proud.
A Point West workshop: Women in Transition: After Divorce.
This small credit union gets it. Target audience. Differentiation. Cause.
Does your credit union have the balls?

hehe… She said balls. That’s just what small credit unions need to get ahead. Simple, unique and targeted. Great example!

Denise, you actually make a lot of references to “balls”. Remember this post about Wasabe? “Wesabe had the balls to try. There, I said it. And they have the decency and integrity to explain why they must close. They cared about quality and security. And yet so many businesses that we deem “too big to fail” are bailed out with taxpayer money and allowed to continue – business as usual. And that business has nothing to do with caring for the customer – it’s all driven by the bottom line.”
Or your post about the CUNA red Ball?
Ha! There’s something freudian about your blog — don’t you think?

Maybe in polite company, you could say “guts”… But the point stands. In times like these, too many CUs are literally freezing with fear rather than taking the world by the, uh… well, you know.
Market share is sitting there, ripe and ready to take for those willing to rise to the challenge. Time to grow a pair!
