The last of the Baby Boomers were born in 1964, making them 46 years old this year. If their life expectancy is to age 80, this means another 37 years for checks to roam the earth.
Sorry Denise, but yours is not a very bold prediction under this standard.

It would have died sooner but greater efficiency through imaging with the Fed system has sped up clearing times. I think that has reduced the complaints on accepting checks and keeps them out there.
